Building our Creativity - As a Team

I thought I would do a post to celebrate the joys of being a team member. Since joining Etsy in July, 2009 and then opening my shop in November, 2009, I have joined a few teams along the way. I was looking for just the right fit for me.  Some of the teams didn't work out, not because they were bad teams; I just couldn't commit to some of the team requirements.  I have to say that I have met some really fascinating and wonderful people in the teams I joined. And so, to that end, my short lived team memberships were well worth my efforts. I did in fact, find a team that has proven to be a good fit for me. And , if you have the mind to join a team of creative kindred spirits, I encourage you to do so!
The team that I have remained a member of is the UWIB team- Unique Women in Business. This is such an inspiring and supportive group of ladies. We encourage each other, critique each other, buy from each other, share ideas and tips with each other, promote each other..... everything that dear friends or sisters would do for one another. So very rewarding to be a part of them. We're building each other up, and in doing so, building our businesses together. If you are interested in exploring our team- visit our team blog at http://uniquewomeninbusiness.blogspot.com/
Please note that our team considers membership for all business women, in and outside of Etsy.

( If you are on our team, and I have failed to include you, please send me your shop information, or a jpeg.... my contact info. is on our forum board. I really would like to acknowledge you. )

Here are the shops of some of the special women who currently comprise our team:

Isn't it wonderful when you find the right group? This article is a very thoughtful gesture (and interesting to read) on your part, especially since you highlighted everyone with a picture and a link! They are very lucky to have you in the mix!

What a wonderful post about our great friends in UWIB. You did an awesome job and just perusing through your choices was a relaxing experience. Thank you for doing this.

Really nice tribute to an awesome group! :)

UWIB is... absolutely... the best group I have ever been in. Erin Keys worked diligently to create a group based on camaraderie, mutual support, courtesy, respect and friendship. Kudos to Erin, and to every single member who make the group what it is. :)

Kirsten-this is such a caring tribute to the wonderful members of our UWIB team. I really have learned so much and found so many new friends for life within its supportive "arms".
I LOVE your background music for your blog--most times when a blog has music going, I just "shut it off", but NOT yours. Delightfully soothing!

Thank you for the blog follow, but more importantly thank you for introducing me to your group! I've only been doing online networking for about a year and have just started to pare back due to the time commitment and some groups working out while others haven't.
PS. Love your blog paper...a nd I agree with Suzanne - I usually don't like music on websites, but this is wonderful. Might just stay on to hear the whole thing! ; )

Thanks everyone for visiting and commenting! I love to hear your thoughts and share in all of your wonderful ideas. Ours is a sisterhood like no other. And thanks to Erin for starting our team. Oh, and thank you for the feedback on the music.... wasn't sure if I should attempt it...but wanted more of a zen-like, garden feel to my blog,... and so the new look and sound... I tried to be respectful to the idea of someone trying to read while the music was playing.....
